In November of 2008 the Hightower family suffered a great loss. Ruthelle Hightower (Travis’s Grandmother) lost her battle to lung cancer. She was truly the backbone of the family and losing her to such a dreadful disease just made it all the more difficult to let her go. This year the Hightower family was faced with the news that another family member, Keith Hightower, who was diagnosed with cancer. After this diagnosis we decided that we needed to get involved to help fight this disease. We found Cancer League of Colorado through our friends, and have participated in previous fundraising events.
“Over The Edge”is our first opportunity to affirm our dedication to the cause of finding a cure, and honoring Ruthelle Hightower who has already lost her battle. We also would like to show our support for Keith Hightower who is diligently fighting his battle against cancer. We will be sending Charles Hightower “Over The Edge for Hightower” in honor of our family and all those who are currently fighting this disease.
