Hello, my name is James “Travis” Hightower. My team and I are dedicated to helping you make smart real estate decisions. I am a hard-working individual raised by my father, Charles Dixon Hightower, an Air Force Lt. Colonel who served for 20 years, and my mother, Somsri Hightower, who was born and raised in Thailand before coming to the United States at 18 years old. My parents took it upon themselves to raise me with a disciplined military approach, blended with my mother’s Thai roots of respect and honor.
My father was the last known Hightower since the Civil War to serve our country in military duty. My great uncle (my paternal grandmother’s brother) was the most recent family member to pay the ultimate price for our freedom. His name was George Dixon Rhodes and lost his life on the USS Bunker Hill during World War II. While under Kamikaze attack, George Dixon was last seen going back to rescue others from the depths of the burning aircraft carrier. He sacrificed his life to help others, and that is what he was remembered for. George Dixon’s lesson and the experiences of my family are a direct reflection of who I am today. I know that my family’s commitment and sacrifices helped forge the opportunities that we all share today. This is why I am dedicated to helping you.
