Hightower Team Completes 4 Fourteeners!

We did it! Travis Hightower, Abigail Hayes (Hightower in spirit), and Colonel Hightower set out Sunday morning at 4am to complete a much anticipated group of fourteeners. Mt. Democrat, Mt. Lincoln, Mt. Bross, and Mt. Cameron were on the docket for the day. We started out at Kite Lake at about 7:30 am and finished about 2pm. We had a great climb, Travis and his Dad suffered some minor cramping but they drove on to complete the climb!
This will get us closer to our goal for our Colorado Fourteeners Initiative pledge of 7 for the season. It was a great hike! There were a lot of people out and about yesterday enjoying what Colorado has to offer.
