The Denver International Airport was built in 1995 after years of frustration and failed plans to open. Despite it’s initial failures, the new DIA is one of the finest airports in the country, and one of the busiest.

If you have noticed that you have lost something, you will be able to locate it in the lost and found area of the airport. You will find lost and found on level 5 North in Jeppesen terminal near international arrivals. The lost and found department is open every day of the week, but only during special hours. If you want to stop by to see if someone has turned in your lost item from Monday to Friday you will need to go in between the hours of 8:00 AM and 7:30 PM when the office is open. If you are going to be stopping by on a Saturday or Sunday, you will need to go between the hours of 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM to get service.
If you need to rent a baggage cart to transport your luggage on you will be able to find them available around ticket counters, baggage carousels and security screening checkpoints for a low rental fee. You will have to pay $3.00 to rent a cart and will receive a .25 cent refund when the cart is returned. You will not be allowed to take the cart on the train, moving walkways, or escalators for the safety of yourself and the other people around you.
